Mateo Kovacic picked up a foot injury in the first half of the Palace game. He was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
"Not so good," Thomas Tuchel said when asked about the extent of Mateo's injury, as quoted by the Metro.
"He has a big, big swollen ankle.
"It does not look good, and he is in pain. So let’s wait for the examination but it seems like quite an injury."
The Croatian has been one of Chelsea's best players this season so losing him would be a huge blow.
