Erik ten Hag gets congratulated on Man United job, gives blunt response

Ajax may have banned the English media from Erik ten Hag's press conferences, but the head coach couldn't avoid questions about the Man United rumours anyway.

Moreover, one of the reporters went as far as to congratulate Ten Hag on getting the job at Old Trafford and ask why the Dutchman was 'keeping quiet' about it.

“Because I serve Ajax. We need to win the two remaining trophies," Ten Hag responded. Notably, he did not dispute that the reports are correct.

Ajax are still battling for the league and cup trophies. The latter one will be contested this Sunday, with Ajax taking on PSV in the Dutch Cup final.

It has been reported that the confirmation could follow after that game which would mean an announcement next week already.
