Klopp reacts to Man City win: 'We beat the best team in the world. I am over the moon'

Jurgen Klopp was a happy man as he reacted to Liverpool's 3-2 FA Cup semi-final win against the defending Premier League champions, Manchester City.

"I am absolutely proud. The first half was one of the best halves we have ever played. I loved each second of it.

"We had our counter-attacks which we didn't use, but we respect the quality of City so much. It is so difficult to win against them. But because of these boys in my dressing room, we have a chance.

"City knew it could be difficult against us - it was always close between us - but we don't use today as a statement - we wanted to go to the final, and that is what happened.

"We beat the best football team in the world. I am over the moon."

City's chance at a treble was ended tonight while Liverpool's hunt for the quadruple remains on. They will face the winner of Chelsea vs Crystal Palace in the final on May 16.
