Leo Messi ranked 3rd best player in Europe this season, higher than Benzema, Salah and more

Lionel Messi has been ranked as the third-best player in Europe this season, as per ratings made by WhoScored.

The PSG star has an average rating of 7.71 (out of 10) and only two more players have a better rating than him.

Robert Lewandowski (7.93) is the highest-rated and statsically best player in Europe this season, as per WhoScored.

Kylian Mbappe (7.91) is the second-best player and is also rated higher than his PSG teammate.

Leo Messi ranked 3rd best player in Europe this season, higher than Benzema, Salah and more

Messi is rated higher than the likes of Karim Benzema, Mo Salah and Erling Haaland – who have easily outscored him this season.

WhoScored’s ratings are based on a player’s performance in the league, but the likes of Benzema and Salah have way more goal contribution than Messi in respective leagues too.
