Pedri expected to be out for season with another injury

Barcelona have confirmed that Pedri suffered a hamstring injury that could rule him out of action until the end of the season.

The midfielder played 45 minutes against Eintracht Frankfurt before being subbed off at half-time in the 3-2 defeat for Barca.

The teenager is expected to miss between six and eight weeks with his new injury.

Last season, Pedri played 73 games for club and country across all competition and had virtually no pre-season.

It shows this term: the 19-year-old missed over two months with another hamstring injury earlier in the season. It's not clear if this was the same issue that he's picked up now.
