Police looking for Eduardo Salvio after he ran over his ex wife after being caught cheating

Boca Juniors star Eduardo Salvio is reportedly on the run from the police after running over his ex-wife with his car.

The 31-year-old Argentina international recently split with Magali Aravena, his spouse of 10 years, and the break-up is not going well.

The incident took place on Tuesday drove to her house in the Puerto Madero suburb of Buenos Aires early. The woman went to his car to speak to him.

A police spokesperson described the scene: "The woman went over to speak with her husband, who was in his car with another woman. The suspect drove forward, and struck Mrs Aravena."

Buenos Aires ambulance chief Alberto Crescenti added: "We were called by city police, and found a woman with trauma to her lower right leg. However the injury was light, and she wasn't taken to hospital."

Salvio, who has played for Atletico Madrid and Benfica in Europe, is said to be in hiding at the moment as the police continue to gather evidence and collect reports from the witnesses.
