Cristiano Ronaldo is also being investigated by the Football Association (FA) for smashing a young Everton fan’s phone after the 0-1 loss on Sunday.
A representative from the FA told The Athletic: “We are aware of the incident and will be seeking observations on the matter from both clubs and the player involved.”
As per the Mirror, Ronaldo could be the subject of some punishment from the FA for his actions.
The mother of the 14-year-old fan has slammed Ronaldo for what he did, claiming that it left him bruised and upset.
Cristiano has since apologized for his actions and offered to make up by inviting the fan to watch him in a match at Old Trafford.
