Shaw could be out for the season due to complications with injury recovery

Luke Shaw’s season could be over as it could take him a lengthy period of time to recover from the surgery in which the metal screws from his leg were removed, claims the Telegraph.

The Englishman recently underwent the operation table to remove the metal elements that were inserted into his leg after he suffered a double leg fracture in 2015.

While the surgery has gone successfully, it could now take him longer than expected to recover from it and attain full fitness before the season is over.

Ralf Rangnick revealed last week that Shaw will be out until the end of April after surgery, but it looks like that could be extended.

Alex Telles is expected to feature heavily in Luke’s absence and will aim to impress incoming manager Erik ten Hag ahead of next season.
