St Etienne manager asks players to stop fasting for Ramadan

As per French news outlet L'Equipe, St Etienne manager Pascal Dupraz has asked his Muslim players to stop fasting for Ramadan.

Muslims across the world are observing fasts in the holy month. Recently, a Bundesliga game was paused for the first time in history to let a player break his fast.

However, the St Etienne boss wants his players to be at their best and fight to avoid being relegated at the end of the season.

His decision comes after the club's 6-2 loss to Lorient, which leaves them in danger of being relegated. St Etienne are currently 18th in Ligue 1 standings.

Dupraz has reportedly asked his Muslim players, who make up more than half of the squad, to avoid fasting and keep up their energy levels in the crucial fixtures ahead.
