West Ham 'concede internally' they'll have to sell Declan Rice next year

According to The Athletic, West Ham are determined to keep Declan Rice for another year but have conceded internally that they'd have to sell him in 2023.

Rice's deal with West Ham expires in 2024, but there's a one-year extension option that can be triggered by the club.

The 23-year-old has already rejected three contract offers from the Hammers. It means that if West Ham want to sell him at the top price, next summer is the last transfer window when they can do it.

Chelsea and Man United have been linked with the Englan international for a while, while Man City also emerge as admirers, as per The Telegraph.

However, it remains to be seen which club would be willing to meet West Ham's asking price which could be as high as £150 million.
