What Ansu Fati means when he says he 'grew without a father'

"Growing up without your father, never having seen him, that's very hard," Ansu Fati has told Barcelona's official website.

Bori Fati - Ansu's father - is alive and alright but he supposedly spent little time with the family when Ansu was a child.

While most of the Fati family were in Guinea-Bissau back then, Bori Fati played in the lower leagues of Portugal.

After that, he moved to Seville and happened to meet the mayor for whom he worked as a driver.

The mayor helped Bori Fati take his family to Spain. In 2009, Ansu joined a youth side Herrera and the family were reunited.

In 2012, Ansu Fati became part of La Masia.
