Barcelona Doubtful About Azpilicueta's Move

Cesar Azpilicueta is expected to have a meeting with the new Chelsea owners next week and explain his desire to join Barcelona, Diario Sport's Ferran Correas reports.

The Catalans already have an agreement in place with the right-back. However, Barca is not too optimistic about their chances of signing Azpilicueta since many defenders are already set to leave the Blues.

Blaugrana believes that Chelsea will not let him leave for free and will ask to negotiate, possibly asking for players in exchange.

It's been reported that Barca has an agreement with Azpi over a three-year contract.

This term so far, the 32-year-old has played 45 matches for Chelsea, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
