Barcelona sack unfortunate teenage midfielder - his value kept dropping

Barcelona have fired Kays Ruiz-Atil, the club announced on their website.

He joined Barca B on a free transfer after a stint at PSG and was given 11 games to prove himself.

However, the Frenchman struggled to fit into the Blaugrana system after moving from France a year ago.

The problem with the young midfielder was that he looked lightweight, unlike Gavi, who's as hard as a rock. He was more similar to Riqui Puig, with less technique.

Initially, Ruiz-Atil was valued at €3m, but his valuation has slumped by half since he moved to Spain.
