Benfica Demands £100m For Darwin Nunez

Benfica have slapped a £100 million price tag on Darwin Nunez, 22, who has been linked with a United move this summer.

This is according to the Daily Star, who also claims that United have refused to pay the money and have told Benfica to return with a 'realistic' price.

22-year-old Nunez is one of the club’s top targets after scoring 34 goals in 41 appearances – including six in the Champions League – with Arsenal and Real Madrid also among the clubs credited with interest.

United are determined not to be held to ransom but will move onto other targets unless the Portuguese side lower their demands.

United are exploring other options with reports in Germany claiming United will launch an offer to sign RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku next week after the forward was recommended to the club by Ralf Rangnick.
