Birmingham City reportedly lining up potential summer move for Diego Costa

Birmingham City could make an ambitious move to sign former Chelsea forward Diego Costa in the summer, claims the Mirror.

This will only happen if the club is taken over by a consortium of new owners before the end of the season.

The consortium, which includes ex-Barcelona forward Maxi Lopez, has drawn up a list of potential targets they’ll pursue if able to takeover the club.

Costa is currently a free agent after having left Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro in the winter transfer window.

The Brazilian forward scored 58 goals in 120 appearances for Chelsea during his time at Stamford Bridge, but it’s still not clear whether he’d even accept a move to Birmingham.
