Kante up for 'best Frenchman playing abroad' award in the annual Trophees UNFP

N'Golo Kante has been nominated for the 'best Frenchman playing abroad' award by the National Union of Professional Football Players in France.

The award ceremony recognises the best players in France's Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 but also has a category for players playing abroad.

The Chelsea midfielder has won the award twice before, once in 2017 and then 2018.

He joins the likes of Karim Benzema, Ousmane Dembele and Arsenal loanee William Saliba. With the kind of season Benzema has been having it is understandable that he'd be a firm favourite for the award. Nevertheless, a fine achievement from out French midfielder.
