Klopp reveals his half-time message to Liverpool players that inspired comeback

"I told the boys - 'Villarreal have the momentum but they don't own it.'," Jurgen Klopp told BT Sport after the game.

"We knew what was wrong at half-time - it was a big half-time but it was more important how we reacted. We are still here, we gave it a try.

"We were not flexible enough in the first half. It's not about who came on, it's about how we started playing.

"Villarreal man-marked us and then we started man-marking! We were more compact in the second half."

Liverpool produced a brilliant turnaround, showing their never-say-die attitude once again.

The Reds won the game 3-2 (5-2 on aggregate) despite losing 2-0 at half-time.
