Manchester United To Cut Loose Over Ten Players This Summer

The Manchester Evening News says Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani are all out of contract next month, as is fourth-choice goalkeeper Lee Grant.

United triggered the one-year option in the contracts of Mata, Cavani and Grant last year, while the extensions in Pogba and Lingard's deals were activated last season.

Matic opted not to exercise the option of an additional year and announced his departure last month. United originally communicated he had signed a contract until 2023.

At the academy level, goalkeeper Ondrej Mastny, full-back Reece Devine, midfielders Charlie Wellens and Connor Stanley, as well as forwards D'Mani Mellor and Mateo Mejia, are out of contract.

United have one-year options on the contracts of Mejia and Wellens, both 19, but it is unclear if either will be exercised.

There is also uncertainty over whether United will trigger the one-year extension in Dylan Levitt's contract as he approaches the final month of his deal.

Levitt, 21, has been tipped to be named Dundee United's player of the year after a season-long loan in the Scottish Premiership.
