Mauricio Pochettino linked with shock Athletic Bilbao job if he departs from PSG

Athletic Bilbao are thinking about making a move to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager if he leaves PSG in the summer, claims L’Equipe.

The Argentine manager is being heavily linked to be let go by PSG, who reportedly want to replace him with Zinedine Zidane.

Athletic are currently monitoring his situation with their manager Marcelino’s contract set to expire next month.

With Marcelino failing to help them qualify for a European competition, Bilbao are likely to let him go and replace him with someone else.

They are likely to make a move for Pochettino if he gets sacked after the season and convince him to return to La Liga.

Mauricio has already worked in La Liga in his career, having managed Espanyol from 2009 to 2012.
