TalkSPORT says Newcastle are seeking an experienced goalkeeper signing for next season and 35-year-old Dane Schmeichel is under consideration.
Schmeichel has stated he can see himself making one final career move at 35 years of age before hanging up the gloves.
And Newcastle is eyeing the Foxes captain for the summer market.
The Toon are in the market for a new No1 and Schmeichel fits the bill.
