Patrick Vieira will not be facing police charges for kicking an Everton fan on the pitch last week, it has been confirmed.
Everton supporters invaded the pitch after the club's 3–2 comeback win against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park last week.
One fan attempted to provoke Vieira by insulting him and flipping him off. Shortly after, the Palace boss kicked the rowdy man to the ground.
A statement from the Merseyside Police reads: "Officers have spoken to both men involved and the opportunity to make a formal complaint or support a prosecution was declined."
