Paul Pogba linked with 'Carlos Tevez-style' move to Manchester City

As per Mike Keegan and Sami Mokbel, two reliable journalists from the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola wants to sign Paul Pogba on a free transfer for Manchester City in the summer.

If the deal goes through, it will mirror Carlos Tevez's infamous move from Old Trafford to the Etihad back in 2009.

Pogba is out of contract at the end of this season and Guardiola reportedly wants a versatile central midfielder to fill the void left by Fernandinho.

Transfer regulations state City cannot make a formal offer to the Manchester United midfielder till the season ends. However, they do have the financial muscle needed to tempt Pogba with wages higher than the £290,000-per-week he receives at United.

The 29-year-old is reportedly open to staying in the Premier League and would not rule out joining City, even if it means ruining his relationship with United fans.
