Pique On The Reason Why Guardiola Left Barcelona

"Mourinho was in the press conferences, every day, you know how he is, he has a style," Gerard Pique said in his Sky Bet interview.

"At some point, it all became too much for Pep Guardiola. Sometimes it was more important what happened outside of the pitch than on it.

“At the end, Guardiola left. Real Madrid won the league that season and all of a sudden he decided to leave for many reasons, but I'm pretty sure that part of it was because of Mourinho. It was too much.”

In 2012, Pep Guardiola announced that he was leaving Barcelona after four successful seasons at the club.

However, in less than a year, the Catalan was back at coaching, taking up a role at Bayern Munich.
