The Hornets have cut loose five of their squad as they prepare for a return to the Championship.
Ben Foster, Nicolas Nkoulou, Andre Gray, Juraj Kucka and Peter Etebo are all being allowed to depart.
The headline departure is goalkeeper Foster, 39, who has played 207 games for Watford over two spells.
Juraj Kucka has chosen to use a clause in his contract that releases him, while Peter Etebo returns to Stoke after his loan.
