Ten Hag 'unimpressed' with United's fitness levels, to request 2 extra weeks of pre-season training

Erik ten Hag has watched the latest Man United games remotely - and he could not have been pleased with the performances of his next team.

As per The Mirror, the Dutch coach has been unimpressed with the players' fitness levels. He believes this is one of the reasons for the team's poor performances this season.

Ten Hag's style of football is based on pressing which would be especially demanding for this group of players.

As a result, he believes that this should be the focus of the pre-season training - so much so that the players will need two extra weeks of it. He eyes June 20 as the starting date, as opposed to July 4 which was the club's plan.

The report adds that ten Hag will conduct Zoom calls with the players this week. We might know more about his ideas for Man United after those conversations.
