The striker rejected an offer from Real Madrid to pen a new three-year contract with the PSG.
One club man Totti said: “I'm happy because it's a choice of the heart.
"He grew up with Paris. It's not easy to refuse Real Madrid, I did it twenty years ago to stay in Rome. Mbappé, even though he is younger, made the right decision.
"The roots are the most important. Like the smart player he is, he chose to stay in Paris, and I think it's the right one."
