Valencia released an official statement against Barca's news on Soler transfer

On Monday, Spanish publication Diario AS claimed that Barcelona have reached an agreement with Valencia over the transfer of Carlos Soler.

However, Valencia have flat out denied it via an official statement:

"Given the information published this Monday in Diario AS, Valencia CF flatly denies that it has an agreement or that there is any negotiation with FC Barcelona for the transfer of Carlos Soler," excerpts of the statement reads.

“The club is currently in open negotiations with the footballer and his agents to extend his contractual relationship with Valencia CF,” the statement concluded.

The report by Diario AS claimed Soler would sign for Barca for €20m, which would allow the Blaugrana to offload Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United.

Well, Frenkie isn't going anywhere, even though Soler would be a great addition to Barcelona.
