'Winning mentality', 'Get rid of Spanish solidarity' & more: fans name what Barca need to win Champions League

Barcelona have gone trophyless in Europe for almost seven years. And Real Madrid making it to this year's Champions League final only adds insult to injury.

In the light of all this, we asked the fans what they think Barca need to change in order to win the coveted competition next term.

Lion_8: "Have a winning mentality and fighting spirit."

Blaise Blaizo: "Spend money on quality, hungry and world-class player (defenders)... Have a group of hungry players. That's what we need."

awarenessofficer.fda: "A winning mentality. Quality players who can determine the games. Physicality needs to be applied, especially in the midfield. Classic defenders who are ready to bleed for the team. Spanish solidarity and favourites must stop, no room for sentiment. A player who shows his worth in training should be given the chance."

"ManCharLey: "We need to sign players who are willing to die for the club and a typical example is Ronald Araujo. Players such as Dembele who's after money but not improving should be shown the exit. We must stop pampering players and veterans. Stop favouring Spaniards. We need more Brazilians and Germans in our team."
