Xavi confirms new formation tried against Celta - it really worked

"We have tried to change the system, starting with a line of three behind, with Alba and Alves getting inside," Xavi said after the 3-1 win against Celta.

"It's true that we had not worked hard on it and the team wasn't comfortable."

Barcelona switched to a back three in the second half. Barca were playing a 3-4-3, with Jordi Alba and Dani Alves playing as wing-backs.

The formation worked as Barca overloaded the flanks leading to the third goal by Aubameyang.

Perhaps a 3-4-3 system could really work for Barca going forward, as it did against Celta. Barca were really shaky at the back until Xavi made the tactical switch.
