Xavi would like to sign a world-class centre-back, reports Javi Miguel.
His first-choice option is Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly. Barcelona are expected to make a formal bid for the Senegalese in the coming days already, as per Mundo Deportivo.
The 30-year-old could be available for €25-30m this summer – and Barca will be able to offer this money.
If the Catalans miss out on Koulibaly, they will try to sign either Sevilla's Jules Kounde or Milan's Alessio Romagnoli. Both players have been on Barca's radars for a while now.
As a reminder, Barcelona have already signed Chelsea's Andreas Christensen who is expected to be Clement Lenglet's replacement.
