Real Madrid have announced the signing of Antonio Rudiger as a free agent.
What's next is to select a jersey number for the big defender to wear for the coming season.
There are currently three vacant squad numbers at Real Madrid following the departure of Gareth Bale, Isco, and Marcelo.
Thus, Rudiger could choose from the no. 18 (Bale), the no. 22 (Isco), or the no. 12 (Marcelo).
Rudiger may be interested in Isco's no. 22 given he wore the no. 2 at Chelsea.
However, a befitting centre-half squad number for Rudiger is the no. 5. Unfortunately, Jesus Vallejo would have to leave for him to get it.
