Barcelona 'Lower' £100m Price Tag For Frenkie De Jong, Demand New Fee
According to Catalan news outlet Diario Sport, a tier-two source, Barcelona have lowered their £100 million asking price for Frenkie de Jong following Manchester United's ultimatum.
The BBC claims United will walk away if Barca demand an exorbitant amount. And now, the Spanish giants want just £70 million to part ways with the Dutch midfielder.
Incidentally, the Red Devils' initial bid was worth £70 million (£60 million up front with £10 million as add-ons).
Sport further adds that Barca will not go any lower than £60 million to avoid making a loss.
United and Barcelona remain in talks for the 25-year-old midfielder, who is now open to a reunion with Erik ten Hag.
