Barcelona Plan To Limit Newcomers' Salary To €10m Per Year, Current Stars To Be Asked For New Cuts

According to Spanish media outlet AS, Barcelona intend to tackle the issue of their bloated wage bill.

As per the report, the Catalans' plan is to limit the contracts of new signings - and new contracts of the current players - to €10million per year.

Of course, there are players in the Barcelona squad who earn more money by far, like Sergio Busquets, Gerard Pique and Frenkie de Jong.

It's claimed that these players will be asked to agree to a new salary reduction, in some cases up to 50 per cent.

Due to their financial issues, Barcelona cannot register the players who have already agreed personal terms with the club, Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie. Their pursuit of Robert Lewandowski is also complicated.
