Bernardo Silva has had a meeting with Manchester City during which he informed the club of his intention to leave and asked them to consider Barcelona's offer, Mundo Deportivo report.
It's expected that Pep Guardiola will sanction his exit. The asking price for Bernardo will be in the region of what Barca are demanding for Frenkie de Jong. In total, them over could cost €80m fixed plus €20m in add-ons.
On the positive side, the Portuguese's salary is much lower.
It's been said that Xavi considers Bernardo a better fit for his system than Frenkie.
In the 2021/22 season, the 27-year-old recorded 13 goals and 7 assists in 50 matches for the Citizens.
