Chelsea emerges as surprise front-runners to sign Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele is close to joining Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer, claims Talksport.

The Premier League giants surprisingly moved ahead of the likes of PSG and Bayern Munich to become the front-runners for the winger.

Dembele is close to signing a 4-year deal with the Blues and become the first signing in the Todd Boehly era.

Thomas Tuchel, who managed the Frenchman at Borussia Dortmund, played a key part in convincing him to join Chelsea over a side like PSG.

Dembele is set to leave Barcelona once his contract expires after enjoying a prolific season, in which he topped La Liga’s assist charts with 13 assists in 21 appearances.
