'Done deal': Dean Henderson to join Nottingham Forest on loan

According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to sign Dean Henderson on loan next season.

Romano reports the 'deal is done' for the young goalkeeper, who is tied to Old Trafford till 2025.

Deano, 25, failed to play a single Premier League game for the Red Devils in 2021/22. He joins Forest in search of regular game time, which the newly-promoted side will be able to provide.

Henderson joins on a loan deal that runs till June 2023, meaning he will spend the entirety of 2022/23 there. The agreement does not include the option to buy, despite being a point of discussion between both sides.

His potential departure leaves United with David De Gea for the No.1 role and Tom Heaton, 35, as back-up.

Dean is currently on holiday but is expected to sign the contract - followed by the official announcement - once he returns.
