Erik Ten Hag 'Big Fan' Of Antony — Possible Fee To Sign Ajax Winger Revealed

According to tier-one journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United consider Antony as a priority target for the summer but are unable to complete a deal because of Ajax's high price tag.

The Red Devils are willing to lodge an initial bid of around €40 million. That won't be nearly enough, with Ajax eager to receive bids only above €70 million.

As a result, United have not made an official offer just yet. To make matters worse, new Ajax boss Alfred Schreuder would reportedly prefer to keep the Brazilian.

However, Romano adds that Erik ten Hag is a 'big fan' of Antony's talents. The reporter further reveals that Antony's agents are pushing Ajax to at least listen to the proposal by United.

Other top outlets have also hinted that Antony is eager to complete a switch to Old Trafford, even though a deal for Jurrien Timber has stalled.

So far, United have not signed anyone and are the only top-six club to not bring in a new player so far.
