Erik ten Hag feels Marcus Rashford 'could be important player' for Man United
In an interview with Give Me Sport, tier-one journalist Fabrizio Romano said the following when asked about Marcus Rashford: "Speaking with some sources, [Erik ten Hag] is prepared to give him a chance to change the situation.
"He feels he could be an important player for Manchester United in the future."
Rashford, 24, endured a dismal 2021/22 where he was dropped by Ralf Rangnick for most games. He scored just four times in the Premier League as he recovered from shoulder surgery.
His contract expires in the summer of 2023 but Rashy reportedly wishes to stay and fight for his place under Ten Hag.
A lot will depend on how the Englishman fares during pre-season, with Ten Hag eager to gauge the skills of every single player.
To keep his hopes of representing England in the Qatar World Cup alive, Rashford must impress the Dutch boss.
