Liverpool Launch Mental Health Toolkit To Provide Additional Support For Fans

After the distressing events of last month's Champions League final, Liverpool have been taking measures to that ensure fans who suffered through the experience get adequate support.

The club released a mental health toolkit that can be found on Liverpool's website and a club statement read: "Liverpool FC has launched a new mental health toolkit, which offers further support to fans suffering the ongoing effects of the events surrounding the Champions League final.

"Working closely with LFC Foundation and Liverpool’s director of public health, Matt Ashton, the club has developed the new resource for supporters in the wake of distressing events in Paris.

"The club has also pledged financial assistance for those organisations already in high demand, and wants supporters to know that expert help continues to be available."

The LFC Foundation's chief executive, Matt Parish stated: "It’s vitally important that supporters know there is help out there if they feel they need it.

“Working together with a number of expert mental health organisations, and with the support of Matt Ashton’s expertise, this latest resource is available to all fans. It not only signposts people where to go for support but also offers advice to those dealing with the ongoing effects of such a distressing event.”
