Man United Believe They Can Convince Nunez To Snub Liverpool, Potential Fee Revealed

According to ESPN, Man United believe in their chances to convince Darwin Nunez to join them despite interest from Liverpool.

The two rivals are expected to go head-to-head for the forward who scored 34 goals in 41 games last season for Benfica.

Liverpool have an advantage over United who can't offer Nunez the Champions League football next season.

However, Benfica are only expected to take seriously bids starting from £80m for the 22-year-old which would be Liverpool's transfer record. It's not clear how prepared are they to pay such a fee.

United, meanwhile, have a sizeable transfer budget to operate this summer, and signing a new forward is their priority - even though Erik ten Hag has been told he'll have to get more out of the players already at his disposal as well.
