OFFICIAL: Jesse Lingard leaves United as a free agent

Jesse Lingard follows Paul Pogba out of the door as Man United have confirmed that the forward leaves as a free agent.

The Man United academy graduate leaves the club after making 232 appearances and scoring 35 goals across all competitions, as well as four trophies.

"We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Jesse for all of the memories he’s helped create during his two decades here and wish him the best of luck in his future career," the club statement said.

He does not have a shortage of options, with West Ham especially keen on bringing him back after a successful loan spell in the second half of the 2020/21 season.
