Newcastle United have agreed a deal with Lille to sign young centre-back Sven Botman, the club has confirmed.
The 22-year-old has undergone his medicals and accepted personal terms to become the Magpies’ first major summer signing.
Newcastle will reportedly pay £50m for the signing of Dutch centre-back, who has been one of Ligue 1’s best defenders in recent years.
The Magpies have also signed Matt Targett and Nick Pope in the summer transfer window so far.
