OFFICIAL: Wales qualify for FIFA World Cup for first time since 1958 after Ukraine win

Wales have qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2022 after a 1-0 win over Ukraine in the qualifying playoff final on Sunday.

Gareth Bale’s free-kick ended up resulting in an own goal from Andriy Yarmolenko in the 34th minute, which was enough to give Wales the win.

This will mark Wales’ return to the World Cup after last having played in the 1958 edition.

The Welsh side have been slotted into group B alongside England, Iran and USA.
