Pere Marti Resigns As Villarreal C Coach

Pere Marti is resigning as Villarreal C coach.

The 'groguet' coach has ended a long and successful period as coach of the Yellows' Academy. In recent years, the coach from Moncofa has coached Villarreal C, U19s and even the team that played in the UEFA Youth League.

In a letter to fans, Marti stated:

"After a long time, the time has come to close the stage at Villarreal CF. It has been 20 years, half of my life dedicated to this great club. From Cariñena to the new Estadio de la Cerámica, enjoying its growth and its people. I am convinced that this is not a goodbye, but only a see you soon.

"During my time as a footballer and in this last one as a coach, I have been lucky enough to fulfil the dreams of many children and I only have words of thanks for all of you who have accompanied me on this special journey.

"I want to thank Fernando Roig, José Manuel Llaneza and Fernando Roig Negueroles, as leaders of this wonderful project, but I also want to show my gratitude to all the people in the dining room, offices, medical services and friends of the coaching staff, and also, and in a very special way, to all the players that I have had the great fortune to coach all these years. You are the driving force of the club, thank you all for having helped me to become the person I am today.

"ENDAVANT FOREVER AND SEE YOU SOON, GROGUETS!"
