"It’s a new season, it’s a new start," said Raphael Varane in an interview with club media.
"So everyone [at the club] is excited to know about the new manager [Erik ten Hag]. Obviously, we want to do well and win every game so, for this, we’ll have to prepare for the new season, and I think it’s important for us to train hard and be ready."
The Manchester United defender, who played 29 times last season, continued: "We want to be ready for the new season.
"We need to work very hard and there will be a lot of training sessions, and a lot of games, so I think it will be interesting and a great moment to work very hard and to prepare for the season."
Ten Hag will soon meet the players in person as the club kick off pre-season preparations ahead of a crucial 2022/23.
United finished sixth in the Premier League last season, a whopping 35 points behind winners Manchester City.
The Red Devils also failed to stamp our mark in other competitions, leading to the appointment of Ten Hag in the summer.
