Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo de Paul is being connected with a return to Italian Sere A.
The Argentina international only moved to Atletico last summer from Udinese.
However, De Paul is now a target for Roma coach Jose Mourinho, who is seeking to strengthen his midfield options.
Roma are seeking a replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and De Paul fits the bill.
The midfielder's deal with Atletico runs to 2026.
