Rudiger explains why he chose no. 22 shirt at Real Madrid

At the time of Antonio Rudiger's presentation at Real Madrid, the only available shirt numbers were no. 12 and no. 22. Here's how the German explained choosing no. 22.

"Number 2 belongs to Carvajal, so I took number 22. I wasn't thinking of the pressure of number 12. 22 just looks nice," Rudiger said.

From these comments, it becomes clear that Antonio's favourite number is 2. He wore it at Chelsea and AS Roma.

As for the pressure related to no.12, the jersey number belonged to Marcelo. The legendary Brazilian is the most decorated player in our history, having won 23 trophies during his 15-year stay at Santiago Bernabeu.
