Saul returns to Atletico after Chelsea loan spell, Blues not expected to sign him permanently

Saul Niguez arrived with a lot of hype from Spain as Chelsea signed him on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.

However, his time at Chelsea was nothing short of disastrous. Saul managed to make only 22 appearances for Chelsea, with only six starts combined in the Champions League and Premier League.

As per Marca, the Spanish midfielder has returned to his parent club Atletico Madrid and is training there at the moment.

Chelsea are not expected to make Saul's deal permanent and he will continue the next season with Atletico.
