'The Only Young Player Who Tapped Into Ronaldo': Anton Ferdinand Praises Anthony Elanga

Speaking on talkSPORT, Anton Ferdinand said: "I had the pleasure of meeting Anthony Elanga at the last home game [3–0 win vs Brentford].

"I took my little boy up there to meet Cristiano Ronaldo and I saw Elanga and I watched him live for the first time.

"He looks like one of the only young players who actually tapped into Ronaldo. His movement was Ronaldo-esque, when Ronaldo was younger."

Elanga featured heavily for Manchester United's first team under interim manager Ralf Rangnick but it remains to be seen whether that will continue under Erik ten Hag next season.

The 20-year-old forward has made 37 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils this season, scoring eight goals and providing five assists.
