Tuchel Might Already Have Approved Lukaku's Sale: Ex-West Ham Man Hutchinson

Romelu Lukaku had a terrible return season with Chelsea as he was unable to have a positive impact for the team. He started only 16 Premier League games, ending his season with 15 goals across all competitions in 43 appearances.

Ex-West Ham midfielder Don Hutchinson ranted about the situation, speaking to ESPN FC: "[Lukaku’s] representative has been reportedly meeting clubs in Italy. If I were Tuchel, I would be absolutely fuming to see this.

"It’s up to Tuchel to say, ‘What are you doing? We’re not selling you’. I’m not hearing too much noise from Tuchel, so that says to me that Chelsea are quite willing [to offload Lukaku]."

ESPN journalist Gabriele Marcotti added: "I guarantee you 100 per cent, if Lukaku’s representative met with other clubs, he had the thumbs up from Chelsea to do that."

As a reminder, Lukaku moved to Chelsea last summer from Inter Milan for a fee worth around £95m. Whatever amount he might leave for now will be a clear loss for Chelsea.
